This program has been designed by industry specialists and is underwritten by AFBS, the insurance provider for the Canadian film and television sector for more than 30 years. This program has been approved by ACTRA and is promoted by Producers as the industry standard in Canada.

Inclusive |
All performers (including stunt and background performers) are INCLUDED in this program which reduces exposure to producers, and provides blanket protection for all performers.

Program Costs |
0.90% of insurable earnings up to $100,000 per eligible performer per production.
Eligible deferral or low budget production with a budget of $100,000 or less:
The greater of a minimum premium of $50.00 or $10.00/performer/day $50.00/stunt performer or coordinator or performer engaged in a risk performance/day.

Claims Management |
AFBS has been responsible for insuring performers in Canada for more than 30 years, and this plan includes a comprehensive and effective medical support and rehabilitation process which sets the standard for the industry.

Streamlined Administration |
AFBS and ACTRA have worked with the major administration production payroll houses to ensure that premium administration is seamless for the producer and included within the existing Insurance and Retirement remittance process.
